EB shop alert

I usually buy gifts when I am required to make a purchase. With the shop fee and reimbursement, I can buy gifts for very little cash.

I am not wasting my time and gas on Eddie Bauer, Rack Room, or other $10 jobs. There are only so many shoelaces one can use, and I have enough. This is chump change. I think they put these jobs out just to increase traffic in the stores and hope you'll be impulsed into buying a high margin luxury item for a gift.
This is exactly why I no longer take these type of retailer shops (unless I actually need something at one of the stores). I have a pair of shoes I can't wear and I was not allowed to return because I had to make a purchase and returns were not allowed.
I started ms again due to the down economy, esp oil and gas in the big state of TX. I am working to supplement our income and make ends meet. This EB shop burned me as well. I found a shirt on clearance for $15 after about 40 min of looking through the store for something. I was so excited to break even. I was starting to panic looking at the prices of everything. I did this shop years ago, and agree that I was able to find items within the reimbursement amount. I was able to make money on the shop in the past. It is not possible to make money at the current rate and selection in my area store. Breaking even did not make up for the time and effort, nor did it put food on the table. I like EB, but did not want or need another shirt in my closet. On a side note, I find the new shirt is not as good a quality as the shirts I have from the store that are several years old. just saying.
I've done the EB shops but I live near the outlet malls. The selection were limited and in my case, I needed petite sized clothing. Guess what? The outlet shop doesn't carry petite sized clothing unless it was a return from the catalog sales. I usually end up with a tee shirt that's under $20. They used have have better clothing selection but now the cloth used in the clothing are so thin, like in the dresses. Wow, I can walk around in one of their dresses and the world can see my underwear. Why bother wearing any clothing?
I agree!
