Man, I am beat.

For the past couple years I've just done the occasional shop, no more than once a week. I've been trying to do more, so I've signed up with new companies and gotten more shops. I really like the dining out shops because I get a dinner out with my husband or best friend that I couldn't otherwise afford.

So this past week I did low-end dinner shops Wednesday and Thursday, a mid-range dinner shop Friday night, two fairly easy shops Saturday, and a higher-end dinner shop Saturday night. I'm pretty worn out from all those reports.

To top it all off, I got the grade from my Friday night dinner. They gave me a perfect score and said I could have provided half as much information and still done a great job. I don't know how, since they wanted every detail of every interaction, but whatever.

So now I think I need a few days off smiling smiley

Relax. You deserve it,

But look for a gym shop. Those extra dinners out will have you searching for retail clothing shops.

Everyone has a photographic memory. Some just forget to load the film.
I have no idea how those of you who do multiple shops a day manage it. My hat's off to all of you that do it. I feel exhausted just reading about cake's 6 shops in 4 days.
I had a week with 28 last month, LOL!

28?!! Maybe if I didn't have a day job. I had a day where I had 4 shops and so 4 reports due and was up very late. Never again. Some companies are so awesome with their due dates. I will always check those before doing another route like that!
My April was huge too. I take care of kids during the day and then head out and shop many nights. I usually do at least four or five then. One Saturday last month I did 18 in one day.

That week was one of those where the stars come together, LOL! Actually it was great combo of jobs which included a one day route through the center of the state. All of the jobs that day normally have a 12 hour deadline. I asked for 24, they said yes. I was cleaning up a bunch of rural shops that weren't getting filled so win-win. That was also my longest day at about 9 hours. The rest of the days were in the 3 to 5 hour range including reports.

I have a family member going on their first shop tomorrow. They are nervous but have me to help and I've been training them. When I told them some shoppers do 10+ in a day, they went white. I was just trying to tell them it gets easier. Hilarious!
People also think all of the shops are long scenario types with an involved report. Most of us that have large days know how to mix it up. My long day was filled with 15 minute jobs with 20 minutes reports and one video which took 30 minutes on-site and less than 5 on the report. It was one of those days when there was more time driving than anything else and sometimes I find that relaxing. It was also the same day that when using my voice recorder I found myself asking where I was, LOL!

I have 7 shops lined up for tomorrow. Valet parking at a mall and one shop while waiting for the time to pass...two locations for a discount retail shops that are VERY easy...candles...smoothies...and my first attempt at a cell phone store.

I have also done the airport shop with 11 different locations within a terminal.

I don't know, I just love mystery shopping.
Completely agree with you here Lisa!

If you are going to do a route of several shops, pick those that are going to take you 10-15 minutes max in the store, and a 15 minute report tops.

When I am able to pick up the cell phone shops, I will pick up 13-14 of them to do in a day, or spread out over 2-3 days. (as many as are available here, there are about 5 I won't go to since I'm pretty sure I got "made"winking smiley.

If I do all 14 in a day, I push to be in and out of the store in 15 minutes max AND, make sure I am within blocks of each store.

On the other hand if you are going to do the longer shops - IE: Apartment or Bank/Mortgage shops where you have to speak with a banker - then limit yourself to what you are comfy with. On the 10th I did 3 banks (with a banker, there's at least 3 hours), 3 cell phone shops - 15-20 mins, counting in & out of car and 1 clothing - fun for me so that one was um, a bit longer.. LOL! I left the house @ 10:00AM, got home around 5PM. It was a nice payday too, about $180 + Reimbursements.

This Friday I've got a big bank shop = $90 (hour), plus I picked up a revealed photo audit, $25 (hour), Fun Retail, $14 (15 min), and a Dinner $10 + $35 (hour). They are all on the same Blvd. here in the city so that will be fun! The bank shop Report is a doozy though since it's an investment scenario.

PS: Lisa, I hear ya on those recorder "oops" moments! Y'all don't want to hear mine, when I get behind pokey drivers! LMBO!
