Huh. Think I'll try it out on this post to see if it toggles.

Well, dr, I tried it. The thumbs down turned into an "!" mark which has traditionally been there to enable reporting spam. I don't know what the thumbs-down actually did.

New posts now have both an "!" mark and a thumbs-down symbol now. Having just the "!" mark must have been a transition state.

I'm not seeing a thumbs down anywhere.

There is a box around each message. All of the buttons are in the lower right corner of the box. I am using Firefox on a PC.

I know where the boxes are. All I am seeing in both Chrome and Firefox are Quote, Reply, and !
