Trying to figure out the MysteryShopForum Website - and feedback

Why do we have both “Enhanced by Google” search box and the regular “Search Messages” on this forum? I don’t understand the difference between the two.

I do appreciate the time, work and effort that the maintainers of the site put into this – THANK YOU for that! I know it’s not an easy task and it takes a lot of time.

The search capabilities are pretty decent, but if someone wants to casually browse, and participate, it can be a bit cumbersome. Especially when trying to navigate the minefields of sponsored links that are on the site.

Just my 2 cents.

Membership is free. Simply choose your username, type in your email address, and choose a password. You immediately get full access to the forum.

I think to keep the site free - they had to build some advertising in there and the google search might be part of it. I am not 100% sure. My work recently blocked this site for having "malware" but our IT dept is pretty strict.

I'm not sure why, but once I log in on any computer, my tablet and phone, the ads disappear.

Ublock. I don't see ads. But, yeah, I don't like using Google to search for something that's right here on the site where I already am. It's like getting to the kitchen from the living room by going out the front door, circling all the way around the yard and coming in the back door. For cookies.

They get paid, like an ad, for all of the Google searches performed on this site as well. I used to have a site and used Google search for good revenue.
