Anybody else having a problem with posts showing incorrect times???

Hey all,
Went to get on the Forum about an hour ago (10:45 am ET), and the site was down. I checked with one of these online site checkers and it showed the site was down and the server wasn't responding, but it was only for a brief time. Then a few minutes ago, the Forum was back up. OK, so all good, right?? Well, NO.....I have responded to a couple of threads since the Forum got back online, and the TIMES of my posting are OFF by several HOURS!! So I went and checked in my profile, and the correct Time choice for my area was still selected, but the times are WAY off!! So I experimented and tried picking several other times, but nothing works to bring it back to the correct times. So I just put it back to the correct time for my area (Eastern Time). But it's weird. For example, I responded to a post that had been posted at, for example, 6:49 am this morning. I used the Quote feature, and when my response showed up, it showed 6:30 am, and was EARLIER than the one I had responded to!! So I don't know if this quirk is due to the Forum apparently being down for a while earlier today or what. Just curious to know if anyone else is seeing this. Thanks!

Well, actually, this is not a new problem. Times on posts have been off by several hours almost forever. At least several years, lol.

This just happened to me on another thread. It might be fun to read the out of sync posts... grinning smiley

Yup, that's what I've been doing!
I have never looked at the time posts were made.

Edited to say the time is right on this one

Does everyone know that you can set your time zone? If your posts are off by hours (not minutes), it is likely that you have the incorrect time zone selected. Right now, it is 10:20 AM EDT for me. If I post this and then look at it and it says 7:20 AM, then I would know that I have this Forum set so that it thinks that I am in PDT. If it says 9:53, that is a different issue.

Prince,
Unless you were posting from somewhere in the mid-Atlantic, the time on your post is DEFINITELY later than you actually posted. I am in the Eastern US zone and the time on you post will not occur here for more than 2 hours from now. I am actually posting this at 10:33 AM EDST. June 20.

Edited to add: And, the time stamp showing on my post is 4 hours later than actual post time.

Well, today it all seems back to normal (depending on your definition of "normal" ! smiling smiley ) Anyhow, I posted something this morning at 10:52 am ET, and when it posted, it showed my correct ET zone time! I think it had something to do with the server being down for a short time yesterday morning, but not sure. Could just be gremlins!
I've never really cared. I noticed it but didn't feel it was important to do anything about it.
Your post time shows as 2:21 PM. But really, who cares? It doesn't change the meaning of anyone's posts by what time they posted it.

?
My post says 6:53 am and that is what my clock on the wall said at the time.

Anyway, not something I ever pay attention to.

Well that's interesting that we all see different times on others' posts as well. Prince, I see the time of your last post as 6:21 PM and the previous post shows (to me) as 12:53 PM. So interesting that you see something different, but I still don't care and it doesn't bother me. Just thought I would point that out.
It's funny when you read your posts and they say tomorrow for the time. I've asked Jacob in the past about the time but I don't recall getting a response or what it was.
