Self-Toggling Feature

Hasn't it already been determined that idea just won't work? It may have been pointed out that if you block a specific member they could easily see your posts by logging out and view the forum as a guest or registering with another screen name. The only thing we can control is what we see.

Oats out of the Quaker Oats box, the cardboard canister type, not the instant packets, and not cooked into porridge like you'd do for breakfast. Just dry rolled oats like you might feed to a horse out of your hand.

This is the ham I made for Easter and it turned out great. I've been preparing ham for many, many years and never even considered making it in a slow cooker.

Here's the thing: read the comments on the ham recipe. This blogger's followers must all be new to cooking because the questions are so funny. They had me in hysterics and I'm probably going to Hell for laughing. As an example, the recipe calls for whole cloves and the instructions are to stick them all over the ham. One person asks, "by cloves you mean cloves of garlic, right?" I was crying laughing so hard picturing this person sticking garlic cloves all over her ham. Ew.. yuck!

LJ, that just made me laugh. I recently was surprised at how many people I know don't know what cloves are.....they automatically think garlic cloves.

Is that right, spaztck? I guess those of us who have been cooking for years take it for granted that everyone knows these things. I thought that person had to be on the only one on earth to make that mistake. The blogger is so patient with everyone's questions, though she had to be laughing at some of them too.

I wonder if I would have known what cloves were if my mother hadn't used them on hams when I was growing up.

My fountain of knowledge was good old home economics where we had to memorize all that stuff which was thought to be quite useless at the time. Not saying I've ever used it much since either (except maybe on trivia night quizzes)
