I am not going to name the company, but they do hire merchandisers as regular employees.
Here is is the thing, first I was contacted by two people at the same company for the same job.
Second during my prescreening I said no to the salary. It was what I made over a decade ago. Hello evil thing called COL.
Third I told them no cosmetic resets. The reality is I've done my share of them, and I doubt anyone in their right mind could afford my rates to do that job.
I have three reasons not to interview me for the job. It would've take what a simple program to say, "You know what OldDog doesn't fit the bill, send him a rejection e-mail and move onto the next."
Instead the woman did the interview with me, and acted all surprised when those no's came up.She was surprised when I told her I have no problem speaking french in public, but internally I prefer English. It was like she never heard of this idea.
Oh yeah to add the cherry to the top of this, I was fired by this company over a decade ago. Most companies if my experience is any indication don't rehired former employees.
I am wondering, are all companies this incompetent, or did I just hit the gong show?
