SASR Holiday Reset at Home Improvement Center

Does anyone have an experience with this type of job? I'd like to apply, but I am new to merchandising having only worked with gift card resets, greeting cards and soda. Does this require a special skill set? The details are not very clear. You can private message me if it is against the rules to speak publicly about this. Thanks

This can be very strenuous work moving racking. If it is for seasonal there will be lots of ornaments,, lights, and some trees. Being able to read a POG is an absolute necessity. If you are very physically fit, you shouldn't have any problems. You will probably be on a team, so will have someone else to ask if something comes up that is unclear.

I belong to a gym and lift weights on a regular basis, so I'm good with the physical aspect. I mean, I'm no guy, but I can hold my own, lol. I do good setting the gift cards and greeting cards to POG, so I should be good there too. (unless it is totally different with heavy merchandising)

The original job that I saw posted was working with a team of 6. I really, really wanted to get that job, but my paperwork didn't go through quite fast enough. It would have been a great opportunity for me to learn the ins and outs of heavy merchandising. Bummer. This new job states only 1 employee needed. So I want to do it, but I don't want to get in over my head either.

@cindy55, lol, I am just having a good laugh at myself today.... I got one of the heavy merchandising jobs with SASR and I seriously thought I would have no problems with the physical aspect of the job...boy was I wrong!!! Hahaha! I worked 40 hours this week, from 5 am to 1:30 pm, and let me tell you, my butt is whooped! Every bone in my body hurts!! And I am tired as all heck! An hour at the gym does not compare to 8 hours of this type of work, lol.

I liked it though. The store offered me a part time position with their merchandising team- MET. I think I'm going to take it!

backtowork, I am so glad your persistence is paying off! I too like the physical aspect of merchandising.

Thanks! It seems like things are starting to line up nicely. I'm guaranteed 20 hours with the store. I'll be glad for the steady income. But it's nice because I'll still have the freedom to do other jobs as well.
