Request for confidential information through email

I recently received a positive response to my application to work for Driveline. The new employee paperwork was attached with instructions that I am to send my W-4, Social Security information, Driver's license or birth certificate and banking information by return (unsecured) email. With all the warnings about identiy theft does anyone actually do this?

Unfortunately yes. All the companies do this now. Hopefully you don't have to get some of the paperwork notarized also.
Just another hurtle to jump. I've had to do this twice this year.

Read up on Driveline...... they often send you for a job no notice due today and then back tomorrow same place with an oppss sorry we should have bundled them.

Yeah, most merch companies do this if you apply online. I have to do it several times.
