What stores do you avoid merchandising in?

Walmart- Clueless staff, can't find product, lose shippers. Every job is like giving birth. Dollar General- Short staffed, back rooms stacked to ceiling with boxes of product, no way of knowing which is the one you are looking for. Usually 15- 30 minute jobs that take 45 minutes just to find the product. Any urban drug store- Several of the stores I work in regularly have been robbed multiple times in the last 6 months. Last month a shoplifter pulled a gun on the security guard when he was caught. I was standing in the aisle slapping coupons on packages of candy at the time. He backed the guard out right past me and walked out of the store. I gave notice the same day. Too much drama for too little money.
I'm not sure how much it would take for me to take a bullet on the job, but, I haven't thought of a figure that sounds right.

Walmart - By far. Today I had a product on a pallet in a 2 sided display carton. I told them they needed to move it to the aisle because nobody can get to the lower priced product on the other side. They actually told me to crawl behind the carton and pull out the items I needed. Are you kidding.

Ummm -may I have your name so I can tell the manufacturer how helpful you've been.

Everyone has a photographic memory. Some just forget to load the film.
Just came from two Wal-Martian encounters. Good lord, as if the regular employees aren't incompetent enough, the seasonal help are truly the icing on the cake. They were at different stores. Both took down the seasonal display of the product line I was servicing. Instead of putting it in the very, very empty inline planogram, they left it in an aisle, in shopping carts, in the seasonal/ garden area. I was able to put 4 carts full of product on the shelves where the product belonged. Shiftless Martians. The Dept. manager's answer when I asked about this was, "well, what do you expect form seasonal help?" To do their job, with some guidance from their supervisor?
What a concept.
Home Depot. Any store in the country. It's a bully culture straight across the board. The MET supervisors and other DMs are on power trips. Most of the employees don't know anything. Think of it this way. If you're 30 or older and working at Home Depot, you're probably unemployable. Looking around the breakroom should tell anyone all they need to know. Don't get me started with the store managers!
Walmart gets my vote everytime. I find that about one out of eight employees or managers has a decent attitude. Makes it really hard to get anything done.
