Atlantic Coast Merchandising

Anyone work for this company? They sent me an urgent e-mail for several days of overnight resets. Talked to the recruiter yesterday and they seem desperate. Also, she said she'd be sending the new hire paperwork but I have yet to get it and it's been almost 24 hours. Right now, I'm thinking I won't be working for these folks. Thanks.

I was hired by them. No problem getting the paperwork. I was told it was ongoing but I worked 2 days and waited all weekend for the email saying where they were sending me to the next week. Never got.it. I emailed and asked and was told they had nothing my area for the week. If they could have told.me.that sooner another company had a reset going on in my town for the week that I could have picked up and it paid more. But I lost out waiting for ACM. I will.see what next week brings. If they don't have anything then I will have to.scratch them.off my list.

Pamala -- I wouldn't scratch then off your list. It is possible that they truly don't have anything in your area. I worked for one company for two weeks. They have a client that has a lot of stores in the Northeast but only four in my wide geographic area so their visits here are rare. Even if you get a job through them once a quarter, it's probably a nice piece of change for the multiple days.

It would have been okay if she hadn't said It was ongoing. She talked like they had a lot of work in my área. For weeksemailed her asking if she had anything. I couldnt look for or accept anything else until I knew. The last time I emailed her she had some 1 time projects so I accepted them.3 dayta before they were due I still had not received my shipment so I emailed her. No response. I emailed her again the day before they were fdue. All I got was a forwarded email asking someone else about them. I never heard anything else from her. Neither have I emailed her anymore asking if she had anything. I couldnt keep giving up other jobs waiting to See if she was going to send me out. I was losing money. If she were to ever call me again and offer me something I would Take It if I didnyt already have things scheduled for the week. But I no longer put off scheduling jobs for the week waiting to hear from her.
