I have heard so much about mystery shopping from a few friends who do it. I have decided to jump in and try it out! What would you say are your favorites? Bonus points for companies that have both in-store and online shops available.

Welcome aboard. You'll find a lot of resources and good advice here. If I'd had friends who did this, I'd have picked their brains until there was nothing left.

Favorites? Anything that's *not* a gas station. Merchandising, banking, electronics, and restaurants are my bread and butter.

Oh, I have and they said the same thing as you lol. However, I have one that says banking phone calls are a yes, and banking in person is a no.

I think banking is just easy for a shopper all the way around. The ones I do are based more on compliance than customer service, but it all depends on which bank and MSC it is. I opened an account last week at Bank A that was an absolute nightmare; I opened one this morning at Bank B that was almost like shooting fish in a barrel. If you find something specific you're interested in, you can always post and ask; chances are, you'll find somebody who's done it.
