Hello, my name is Nick. I just signed up to be a mystery shopper for a couple companies. I have my first assignment tomorrow June 6, 2022.
I’m a little nervous. The amount of questions that are on the evaluation form is a little daunting but I’m sure I’ll be able to remember if the sales person said this or that.
I have to act like I’m going to buy a queen-size mattress at a bed store, even talk about payment methods, and then back out at the last minute. They said I can create any scenario I want to do so - just be sure it’s believable. Gave me a couple of examples.
So I downloaded a fake-call app. Since I have to interact with the sales person for a minimum of 30 minutes, I was thinking I’d set the call for 35 minutes after I enter the store.
But then I thought about how many ways that could go wrong with a set timer like that so now I’m thinking I’ll ask to use the restroom at the very end, set the call for 5 minutes while in there.
I’m going to pretend my son was just in a car accident. Everyone is ok but his car is wrecked and I have to go get him and take him to work as he is already late.
Thoughts?
