Fraudsters often impersonate legitimate companies. So, be careful no matter what company name appears. If they sent you a check in advance, it is a scam. If they want you to buy gift cards and then send the numbers to them, it is a scam. Real mystery shop companies do not pay fortunes. While some people on this forum make a living doing mystery shopping, none (to the best of my knowledge) have appeared on Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous. If you provide more details about what you were offered, you may get more useful information. Many reputable mystery shopping companies include notices on their websites that scammers are using their names.
