New to Forum, mystery shopping since 2013.

I started mystery shopping slowly in 2013, shopping areas that I would visit anyway. Food shops are a good place to start. Then I expanded to retail, car shops, and various other areas. At one time I was working routes for Maritz, but the mileage and travel time got to be a drag. I am currently looking for local shops in the Lake Charles, Louisiana area. What is most frustrating to me is wading through all of the companies that promise shops in "your area" but then have nothing on the Job Board. Does anyone have a suggestion to find shops that are actually close to me. I found Volition and it is great but internet searches and shopper applications are time consuming. Thanks for your input.

Try jobslinger. The easiest answer is to join as many companies as you can and search daily.

With how many companies are you registered? All of us have spent a lot of time signing up for companies to find work in our area.... How large is your area? Lake Charles is not real big, so if you stay within just a few miles of the city, options might be limited... If you are up to routes take you a couple of hours from home, Houston, Baton Route and Lafayette seem to have more options for the MSC's I quickly checked....
