I would love to get started being a mystery shopper but I see only one job for Ky. Maybe this will not work for me. I am a caregiver 4 days a week and I have always thought it would be exciting to be a mystery shopper.

Welcome! There are nearly 200 MS companies, so you are probably missing a TON of shops posted in other places for your area! Why not head on over to the New Mystery Shoppers area and read, read, read, the dozen or so posts "pinned" to the top of the list there.

Where were you looking that you only saw one assignment? This is not really a job where you work for an employer so if you saw an ad indicating it was, it was not legitimate. As independent contractors we register with a variety of companies and choose which assignments we want to take. New mystery shoppers usually see fees ranging from $5 to $20 and on average are paid 30 to 60 days after completing the assignment. If the ad suggested higher pay or being paid before the assignment, it was definitely a fraud.

If you are only seeing one shop available you should probably sign up with a few more companies. I've only been at this for a few months and I'm signed up with close to 20 companies... I think a lot of the people on this forum are registered with over 100.
