New to mystery shopping and want to get started right

Hello everyone I am new to this all, I own a company that is about to slow down in winter and am interested in doing this full time, I have a friend who does this and he said start here. I have an eye for details and would like to know everything to look for in the shop and learn how to excel to higher levels. I am wiling to travel to other cities as well. I also would like to know how detailed reports are. Thanks in advance!

Welcome! You have come to the right place, for sure. Take some time to amble on over to the New Mystery Shoppers area of the forum and read, read, read, the top dozen or so topics that are "pinned" to the top of the list there.

Then look at the list of MS companies at the foot of the page and sigh up with several.

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York

Hi and welcome! There are a lot of different shops out there and each has a different report. Some reports are very detailed and some can be completed in as little as 5-10 minutes. Your willingness to travel will open up a lot more shops. Start signing up with as many companies as you can. There is a link below, Official List of Mystery Shopping Companies.

Mystery shopping is all about detail, your half way there. Sign with many companies and see who has jobs you want, and build a relationship with those companies.
