Hello. I'm from Memphis, TN. I've been wanting to be a mystery shopper for many years . Several years ago I signed on but did nothing wth it. I've finally made up my mind to just do it. I'm excited and expecting to have fun. My only hang up is my profile. I dont know how to write one or what info to include. Is it like a resume? Can someone give me some pointers? I'm ready to start shopping. Thanks

Welcome to the forum. The best thing to do is sign up with as many companies as you can, but do your research on those companies first. Read the forum. Some companies will have their own application but just be honest about yourself. The bottom of the forum homepage has a list of companies.
Hi Bryan, most MSCs have you complete an online application, which they call your profile. You provide your name, address, phone, SSN or EIN, etc. Sometimes you will be asked to write a sample paragraph of a customer service encounter you've had. The MSC wants to make sure you can string together a few sentences coherently.

I've never had to provide a resume for any of the MSCs. I'm signed up with about 100 so far. It's easier than you think to sign up.

And, welcome! I'm sure you'll enjoy it. As was mentioned above, read all the content under the heading "New Mystery Shoppers." The link is at the bottom of every page.

Each MSC has different requirements when you sign up. Some want no write ups at all, and some do. The topics vary. I did number of basic paragraphs in Word: - best customer service experience, - worst, -last trip to restaurant, -about me, -last visit to store... A couple wanted huge write-ups and some wanted no more than 200 characters, so I had to edit each one to be specific for that MSC. The first few were time consuming, but once I had some basic ones to edit and cut/paste it was easier.

And welcome!
