Why so many personal questions?

I was in the process of signing with a company. The questions that were required made me uncomfortable so I didn't continue with the application. Since when does a company ask how much I weigh, how tall am I, my age and all my banking info. It stated that I could use pay pal but didn't give me that option during the process. Is this legit? Normal questioning?

It is quite ordinary. Different clients want shops assigned to say, users of certain banks, people who wear plus sized clothing, or target age groups for their marketing.

Yes, it is very normal, depending on the company. They are asking questions for different demographics, for shops they may have for you.

Many MSC's want a picture of you as well...one pic is worth a thousand words.

Agreed with the photos. The Source sends out a pic to each client I pick up on-site. I had one lady keep her door chained and peak out with the photo in hand to compare 0_o I rushed through that one as friendly as I could Awfully odd lady....

If it makes you feel better, based on how poorly emails for shops are targeted, it is pretty clear to me that *no one* ever looks at these profiles we're asked to fill out.

My weight is the business of no one. I leave it blank. If it is required, I do not sign up with that company.

My guess is that they ask for weight for a couple of reasons: to help spot you on video if they have to pull up your shop for any reason, and some assignments require shoppers within a certain range of clothing sizes.

One thing I haven't spotted is asking about tattoos or piercings but I suppose if I fill out enough forms, I'm eventually going to hit one, right? I've signed up with over 100 companies so far and have not been asked.

If you are doing a shop for say Lane Bryant but you wear a size 2 obviously you can not fit any clothing in the store so you arent the right shopper for that client.

Similarly, if you wear a 16, and you have a shop for Cos, you arent the right shopper. It isnt intrusive its making sure you have the right shopper for your clients target demographics.

When doing my bar audits, they ask on report to describe yourself, weight included....their not judging, but in case of a problem, they can tell which is the shopper, especially if bar is crowded....not personal they really don't care how much you weigh...Tatto's, seems everyone now ,as in not a tatto, but an armful and I add that in description.
