Hello there! I've been lurking for about three weeks, reading everything I can in this forum. What a fantastic resource! So much information to be gained here, and so many people sharing great advice. Thank you all for your time and wisdom.
I am new to mystery shopping. I sort of fell into it as a way to make a little extra money to compliment my full time job. I work as a User Experience (UX) Designer so I spent my days watching how people use technology so I can offer advice and recommendations on how to make things better. It's a skillset that integrates nicely with this hobby.
I've done about a dozen shops so far -- mostly little easy stuff -- but I'm looking forward to upping my game with longer, more complex shops and eventually video shops. I record usability sessions with technology users so this is not new territory to me, I just need the video equipment. All in good time!
I have a question for you all: I've noticed a few jobs in my area that have been going unfilled and I was wondering if I could negotiate a bonus with the scheduler. How do you suggest I go about doing this? Simply shoot him/her an email and say, hey, I'll do this shop but only if you give me more money?
