Greetings to everyone!!

A great-big hello to everyone on this board!

my name is Martin, yetmost everybody calls me Marty which is fine with me. I live in Ridgefield,Washington, which is about 25 miles north of portland, oregon. We live on 6+ acres along with an assortment of animals. horses, cats and dogs. We love the area it is rural and we are at the end of a private road. So private it is! No doubt the reason we love it there so much. I discovered mystery shopping sort of by accidenta few years ago. one of my wife's friendstold us about it. So,since many shops can be done in pairs my wife and I started doinga few assignments together when we could work as a pair. It seemedto work out well and give usjust that little extra cash we were looking for. Due to an illness, I am on disabilitywhich barely covers our expenses,so "mystery" shopping the way we do it has been a godsend to us through these tough times. I needed something that I could doinspite of my disability. I suffered a brain injury that left my left side paralyzed. I have limited use of my left leg,so I can at least walk albeit with a limp. I also was able to getmydrivers license back after the injury
so this type of part-time work has been great. At first we paid to find our jobs, but now we don't need those paid services. hopefully, this forum will teach us about other shopping opportunities that don't require a fee.

Looking forwardto getting to know many of you.

Wishing everyone a great weekend!

Welcome to the Board, Martin !

Shopping Bama and parts of Georgia.
I'm still learning 24/7.
Hello there Marty and welcome to the forum. It sounds like mystery shopping is a good fit for you and your wife. If you have time to read other shoppers' experiences, no doubt you can build your shopping business without paying for services. I learned a lot when I was getting started, and continue to learn. Sometimes, we even have some fun heresmiling smiley
Hi Marty! We too are out a private road at the end, with about 7 1/4 acres :^) Our critter count is goats, geese and guineas--don't know what our thing is about 'g' critters, but they do seem to survive and thrive better for us that most anything else. We are in a funny situation because we are definitely rural but about 5 miles from the center of a moderate size town that has grown N/S and we are considered 'way out East'. I retired early a bunch of years back and have found shopping to be lucrative, a way to get out and about and a very nice lifestyle enhancer.
Hi Marty! I live in WA state as well, but in that BIG city. I am envious of your lifestyle and hope someday to be in a rural area myself. There is a lot of beauty in our state, and I am terribly frustrated with the traffic where I am at.
