Welcome to the forum! Go over your guidelines and questionnaire carefully so you know exactly what you are to be observing. Make cryptic notes on a paper scrap in your pocket (or on your cell phone) for a quick review to remind you of anything you may have forgotten. Make sure you get the receipt or whatever proof of visit (POV) is required. Make sure you get your report submitted on time. Gee, did I mention relax and enjoy the experience?
Hi- thank you! I've been reading previous posts in this forum; it's been very helpful & informative as this is all very new to me. The insight from people who've been doing this for awhile has been great! Thank you for the tips; I'll make use of those for sure! Not sure how relaxed I'll be but I'll try smiling smiley
You are likely to feel that the person you are shopping just knows you are the shopper. They don't and what the heck if they suspect? Just do your thing with the certain knowledge that you will get less self conscious with the more shops you perform.

You won't screw up, but if you do, don't sweat it because there will be other opportunities.
Just remember, each shop as a learning experience. Maybe the information you acquired from your shops you can apply it towards your own situation. For example, if you are doing a smartphone shop, and was thinking about getting a new one, you can apply the information for your personal usage.
Thanks! That's a good idea! I will definitely keep that in mind. I'm nervous but I've been trying to practice a bit and go over & over things so I hopefully won't be too nervous. Thanks for the tip smiling smiley
For me on how to do a shop successfully, I read the guidelines a few times first. Then I write down the key points to remember for the report. It is a waste of time and ink to print out the complete guidelines if they are multi pages of 10 to 20. Or just print the pages that contained the information that you have difficulty remembering. Contact your scheduler to go over anything in the guidelines that was not clear to you before the scheduled shop date. The schedulers are there to help you so you can successfully perform the shop and do the reports.
