Hi from South Florida

Good Morning All,
Hi from South Florida. My name is Kyle. I'm 31. I've been involved in the work from home/make money online stuff for quite a few years now, and would like to try my hand at mystery shopping. The work I've done online in the past was mostly transcription, but I'm a flight attendant, and that became hard to work around my flight attendant job. I'm not looking to get rich off shops, but it'd be nice to have a few extra hundred in my pocket at the end of the month. I've been signing up for as many companies as I can. I'd really like to get into the auditing side of things, as that seems more my style. In my spare time I love cooking (anyone watch The Pioneer Woman? She makes an amazing pot roast!) reading, going out to the movies, bowling, and going out to dinner. I just wanted to drop by and introduce myself. Happy shopping!

Kyle

Welcome to the forum. If you search "airport," you should find companies that are often begging for shoppers who are badged. Since you get to skip the Gropers, maybe you could show up a little early for work and knock out a few.

Try signing up with Customer Service Experts, Ath Power Consulting, Shopper's View, and Shared Insight to begin with. You can also go to PrestoMap.com and look for airport locations.

Not mystery shop related (well, tangentially), but have you seen Soarigami (http://soarigami.com). It's an airline armrest extender invented by a former MS VP.

Now scheduling travel shops for the day after Christmas through mid-January.
Hi, Kyle, welcome! International Service Check is another to sign up with. I just had an e-mail that they are looking for airport mystery shoppers for "airports in the USA, Canada, Puerto Rico, Cayman Islands, Aruba, Dominican Republic… and in many, many other places in the world."
Thank you for the leads guys...I don't know why, but for some reason I am extremely nervous about completing my first shop! smiling smiley
Don't let it worry you. We are all nervous the first time ..... and maybe the first several times! My first shop was a Whataburger - and I was so, so nervous. It worked out, and so will yours. Just READ, READ, READ the instructions and do exactly as they specify. Don't decide "that's not a big thing, I'll skip it" or "maybe I'll add this and order an extra thing." Not following the directions to the letter may be the biggest reason for unsuccessful shops. Good luck and happy shopping!
It is perfectly normal and natural to be extremely nervous at first. Plus you will be "sure" that the location has figured out you are a shopper during your first shops. When you accept your first shop, read through the instructions and do a 'practice' at some other store (not necessarily the same client). Write up a cheat sheet of everything you are supposed to do and put it in your pocket. When you have a sort of private moment in the practice store, check your list to see what you still need to do. For your practice, make some purchase because what you need to get in the habit of is observing greeting and parting remarks by a cashier in addition to reading a name tag and/or getting a description and always always always getting a receipt. Also this is a good time to practice scanning or photographing your receipt and while in the store trying to snag a photograph or two.
