Hello from Amarillo, Texas!

I'm a new shopper from the Panhandle of Texas. I've been shopping about three weeks now and have completed a dozen shops. I'm having fun. The only problem I'm having is in finding companies that have regular jobs in my area. It seems like I spend a bunch of time registering to be a shopper, even with companies that are well recommended here on this forum, only to find that once registered they have no shops for hundreds of miles.

Thanks for any ideas!

Welcome to the forum! To find who has shops in your area, register at jobslinger.com for their free version. This will allow you to search your shop area around your zip code. While most of the shops you see will have been taken already, make sure you are registered with the companies offering those shops because the shops will reappear next month more than likely.

It is not a bad thing to be registered with companies who don't currently have shops in your area. Some may have clients that are quarterly or semi-annually, but at the end of the year many clients will change MSCs so the companies with nothing now may have shops next year. In my area I work with about 20 companies per year and while there will be overlap in 2017, I don't anticipate it will be the same 20 offering jobs I want.
I have been using Jobslinger some, with mixed results.

It's good to know about how the cycles work, thanks!
