New member did not do well on first assignment

Hello: I would like some advice. I went on my first assignment and somehow I was told that I did not accept it. I spoke with the person and they told me they did not see it. Is it possible for someone to guide me with the process.

Welcome to the forum! Because every shop is somewhat different, we really cannot tell you what went wrong. Each shop has a set of guidelines (instructions) which you need to follow in order to produce an acceptable shop. Going to the correct place, on the correct day, at the correct time, doing what is instructed, collecting the required proof of visit, entering the report in a timely manner and submitting the required proof of visit is basically what is required of any shop.
abbygail, did you fill out a report on their website and transmit it? I can't tell from your post whether you did a shop and couldn't find a form to fill out because you never accepted or confirmed the shop, or whether you actually did a report but they didn't get it. Please let us have some more details on this.

On reports for some of the companies, you have to hit submit at the bottom of the report, then go back to your shop list and hit a green button there to actually submit it. That may or may not be the problem. It is OK for you to tell us the name of the mystery shopping company as long as you don't mention the name of the client. Tell us the name of the mystery shopping company only (not the client) and maybe we can be more helpful.

I may be misunderstanding completely, abbeygail, but it sounds as though communication broke down sometime before you did the assignment. It sounds to me like you saw and requested the assignment, but either the scheduler did not assign it to you or you did not confirm after it was assigned, so the shop was not available for you to submit a report. It would help if you provide the name of the company - there are hundreds of mystery shopping companies and they are all different - and tell us exactly what happened.
As stated by the other members, there is not enough information. It sounds to me like you applied, but many of the companies have a lag time between application and assignment. Unless it said "self assign", you do not actually have the assignment until you receive notification. It looks like you only made halfway through the process. Some companies take a long time to respond, or the scheduler has a list of "preferred shoppers"-either way, you do have an option. If you discover that it is taking too long, (the date is drawing near, or your schedule has been filled since the application was made, etc...) you usually have the option on the "SASSIE" platform to look at requested assignments and cancel these applications. I have been shopping for a long time, and still run into new things. I actually recently did a "self assign", but did not check for the e-mail to ensure it went through. I did the shop as well. Sometimes you have to just smile and move on :-)
