Self Scheduling Companies

I can't believe I was so luck to have found this forum! I mystery shopped years and years ago and wow has this industry changed!

I already have a full time job that allows me to travel around a large geographical area.

I would like to find some companies that allow me to self schedule in ANY area that I find myself in. I tried going through the list, but I haven't found out how they schedule until I have completed the application process. There must be an easier way! Any direction would be greatly appreciated...

I am trying to get out of debt THIS YEAR!! I am hoping that squeezing in a mystery shops a few times a week will help me in this endeavor.

Thanks for any input!!

Your question sounds simple, but it is far from it. Most companies that have job boards allow you to see out of area shops. A major factor is how much in advance will you know where you will be and when? One of the easiest self-scheduling boards is the 'blue portal' of Market Force, but shops are scheduled generally two to three weeks in advance. Service Intelligence allows self scheduling, but their jobs get snagged off their job board usually within an hour or two of posting--so will you have access to the job board when they post? Generally companies who use the Prophet system, if you can see the job you can self assign it to yourself, though you may see very little. Companies that use the SASSIE system most frequently have you request shops. On short notice you can usually pick up shops from the Corporate Research International job board because they are so underpaid that they linger on the board . . .
I have scheduled jobs with Corporate Research Intl and Trendsource outside of my home area on occasions. The problem with CoRI is that the assignments have a 3 day window that you can self assign, so you won't be able to plan that far ahead. Fees aside, you will be able to schedule any job for yourself if you have passed the training. Trendsource on the other hand tends to have a more flexible schedule and you can extend dates and /or possibly move dates up if it is within a certain range. It a little more complicated than that, but it is a lot more flexible than the systam with CoRI. There may be many others, but I work with these two companies more.

Geez. it seems like most of the MS companies have website you can self assign to.. just put in your zip code where you'll be.... at least the ones I joined did....

Is Trendsource a good company to work for Emdisco?
Also, if they put out the details of a shop, they will usually put the dispatcher's e-mail in there. try contact them and see if you couldn't set something up.

Think they'd probably like that.. getting a job done in advance scheduled so they don't worry about it being done smiling smiley
When JC&Associate was in top form, they would allow me to take a upscale restaurant in the Chicago area, and I was able to visit my daughter and go for dinner. They have a great steak house, and were gracious in letting me do them while visiting Chicago. I would schedule my vacations in accordance with my trip. Call the scheduler and tell of your plans to be in another area, they will work out something with you, without having to self-schedule. I'm trying again to do this, as I'll be in Chicago in a few weeks, when the restaurants come out.

Live consciously....
And although it is perhaps a problem for the local shoppers, it is a boon for the client as it is experienced different eyes on the location.
