Getting Back in the Game

Hi all! My name is Karen and I'm in the NYC area. I just made the decision to jump back into Mystery Shopping and Focus Groups after taking about 10 years off. When my son was younger, I found to too time consuming to be running around doing shops and finding time to do the reports. I use to do a lot of restaurants, bars, amusement parks, sporting events, etc and those reports took up a lot of time, as I'm sure you know! I think I burnt out on Coyle! Looking forward to jumping back into the mystery shopping world!

Welcome back! You will find that a lot of companies you worked with back then have changed their name, been bought, bought someone else or went out of business. Luckily at the bottom of each page of the forum there is a link to the forum's 'Official List of Mystery Shopping Companies'. This should help you get back in the swing of things pretty fast.

Thanks for the heads-up! I've been busy reactivating profiles and updating information. I am finding these forums very helpful. Can't wait to get back into the swing. The funny thing is whenever I'm out at restaurants or retail establishments, I always find myself evaluating the customer service. My husband and I always seem to do it at restaurants, so I know my observation skills are still sharp!

Well, it didn't take long to get back in the swing! Had a great last week of August and September is beginning well. I like that my shopper ratings are still out there with most of the companies! Glad to have all of you guys out there to get me up to speed and to bounce things off of! Glad to be back!
