Hello from "the landmass between NOLA and Mobile." I have lurked around the site without joining for the past month or so. The comments on posts aren't as blocked out as they could be. I'm thankful for that. I wanted to learn a little about different companies, and the quality of the people here, before joining.

I have laughed, I have been scared witless, and encouraged even before becoming a member. As the post title states, I loved you guys before I ever joined. Thank you for being so supportive of each other and the newbies joining the forum. I love how you all encourage, empathize, and support each other. You are the reason I joined.

A little about me, I am a traveling musician. I was turned on to mystery shopping by accident. I found some apps one day that paid money for small photo shops in stores. That led to searching google and learning about mystery shopping in general. I signed up with a few companies and was shocked to see what was out there.

I started leaving earlier and earlier to meet up with our transportation to shows just so I could make money on the way. With your "help," before joining, I have completed cell phone store shops, big box shops, funiture shops, bank audits (I laugh at this almost daily - a musician auditing banks), and a few others.

I look forward to learning more from you without "shopping" the forum and evaluating you. Here's to you making me a believer and empowering me to be a shopper!

I started the same way as you! With doing quick audits on phone apps. Then thought one day, hmm, there must be actual mystery shopping with bigger projects out there somewhere.. WOW was I surprised at what I found after thinking there were maybe 5 MSC's out there, ha!

Welcome @SouthernCharm! I'm from Hattiesburg/Oak Grove MS but I have just recently moved to Clinton, MS, which is next to Jackson.

My husband lived in NE Miss for quite a while before we met (Iuka and Corinth).

Clinton, MS - I know exactly where that is. As for Corinth and Iuka, I've been through those towns many times when I was working for Dish Network. What took you to Clinton? Harttiesburg/Oak Grove has always seemed like a nice area. One last question, if you can answer, which company do you scheldule for?

I'm now in Clinton due to my husband being transferred. :/ We LOVE Oak Grove and miss it so much but we are trying to adjust! For the last 1 1/2 years I have been scheduling for Mercantile Systems. I scheduled for ACE Mystery Shopping for 8 years when I first started.

I wish I had known about this forum before. I have to admit that I'm reluctant to share it :-D. A scheduler from Amusement Advantage pointed me here, and I'm happy she did. One problem with the other boards was the requirement to use real names -- I had more than one retaliatory action for saying something truthful, but negative.

@bgriffin - The traveling musician thing is my life's dream. For obvious reasons, I won't state my band's name. I will give a little information though. We are a Country Rock/Southern Rock band, with an emphasis on the Rock part. We were lucky enough to get a couple videos on CMT.com. The band is a self-contained, self-funded business. We have our own production to include intelligent lighting and video screens. We mainly travel the Southeast USA right now. I'm not getting rich but I was able to leave a regular job and do this for my living. As for football, I'm a Bama fan.
