Hello everyone, I am among one of the newest members to the forum. I have chosen the username moniker, "-E-" (simplistic, yet memorable!);D
Although I have been involved with the process of mystery shopping in the Midwestern states for a few years it is the, "science" behind this activity that continues to intrigue me. I am vigilant in an attempt to develop strategy while perfecting my skill-set. Recently I posed a few,"who/what/where" questions to members of our little local group r/t becoming a successful shopping evaluator. One of my associates recommended the, Mystery Shop Forum as a location filled with substantial reference information shared within a community of like minded folks. I had a little free time today, decided to join the membership and browse to get comfy in these new surroundings. I felt myself smiling as I read some of the member commentary thinking, mmm...I did no know that! At other times I could recall something very similar to the situation described in a particular discussion happening during one of my shopper evaluations. The experience at that time placed me in a very awkward posture or on the flip side something fun and rewarding had occurred. I plan to visit the, MSF site often to read, absorb and share my views on discussed topics as well as link this location site for others to benefit. Thanks for developing a wonderful resource tool.

I am new to the forum and would like to know what anyone has to say about Superior Product...Are they good to work for? Pay promptly?

I'm new too. I've been mystery shopping only a few months with 2 companies only, and just started signing up with more the past could weeks. I'm at 115 and I know there's lots more to go! I've spent a bit of time on this forum and it's great! I'm located in North Dakota.

I am not familiar with Superior Product nor is there a listing in the forum's Official List of companies. I suggest you start a new thread in the section of the forum for discussion about mystery shopping companies. Provide the website address and if you can, some background about it.

I have read several times about the Prophet site. Don't want to sound dumb, but what is it? Thanks for the help

Prophet is not a site, strictly speaking. Although they must have a website to solicit customers, shoppers know it as a platform for mystery shopping companies to use to interact with shoppers. Sort of what operating systems like Windows, Android, and Linux do for computers and cell phones.

Prophet displays shops, allows shoppers to enter shops, and has other information in a similar manner. So if you know the Prophet system from one company and you hear another also uses Prophet, you can rest easy knowing you know how to use the new company's platform. Others are Sassie and Shopmetrics.

This is largely a self-help industry. However, you have found the best place to read about it. Start with the sticky's in the section called New Mystery Shoppers. You can also ask specific questions on the forum.

I have learned almost everything about mystery shopping on this forum. I found it about 3 months into starting mystery shopping and it has been invaluable. Anytime I have a question about a shop I can get replies in minutes. This is a great community but you have to do some research. I would start at the top companies on the list and read all about them to see if they are a good fit then start applying. Before you know it your inbox will be full with opportunities. Just remember you may have to kiss a few frogs first - haha.
