Hi There, My name is Liz. I am a transplant from NYC to the great state of TX and have found no problem whatsoever with the transition to Austin. I have been shopping for many moons and am silver certified by MSPA since 2004. I really should get gold, but I am cheap. LOL Hope to chat, network and get to know shoppers from all corners. Yes it has been a culture shock and for some reason everyone keeps asking me to say things. LOL I think it's my Brooklyn accent. But ty for your welcomes and I hope to become a very active member. I love the idea of forums for us since we basically work alone. Wellmet mrcomputer101 and AustinMom.

Welcome to Texas and the boards. I live in Plano (northern suburb of Dallas). You will be pleasantly surprised that our winters are not nearly as brutal as yours in NYC, but the summers are HOT!
