Welcome to the forum, Tony. A lot of the mystery shopping companies you can sign up with have those assignments. The challenge will be signing up with them, building a good track record, and finding jobs in your area.

Hi! I'm new at this, and I just received a check in advance to do some shopping for a company. Good sized check, doesn't sound right. What am I missing? They want me to deposit it in my bank, and get back in touch with them for instructions. Any info to share with a newbie?

That's not mystery shopping, it's a scam and the check is no good.
