Hi, purpose, welcome to the forum! There must be a LOT of competition in Atlanta, Georgia, because we've had several newcomers to the forum ask about Atlanta assignments.

All the information you need to begin mystery shopping is available on this website. It's set up as a learn-as-you-go, work-at-your-own pace process. When you mystery shop, you are actually running your own small business, working as an independent contractor for multiple mystery shopping companies. In the beginning, mystery shopping is very time-consuming. You will spend a lot of time reading so you can understand how mystery shopping works. You will spend a lot more time researching and planning and setting up your business. You'll spend even more time registering with companies, providing your personal information and SS#. Some of the companies will want you to provide a writing sample or take tests.

Very time-intensive. Don't get discouraged. Plan to spend a lot of time in preparation before you start making any money. You'll spend a lot of time sorting through jobs to decide which ones are "worth it" to you and finding companies that have assignments in Atlanta. When you do start getting assignments, most will not be quick, easy, fast, or fun. And most will not pay very much money.
Hi purpose,

Welcome. There are lots of companies out there. Only a very few qualify as ones to avoid for unacceptably late or non-payment issues. It might be better to think about MSPs like restaurants. For example there are hundreds in my area. I like many, but some better than others for different reasons. If you lived in my area, you would likely agree with some of my opinions, but not all. Check out the list of companies - the list is present at the bottom of every forum page and see what shoppers say about each company. You can also check out summaries of companies in the Mystery Shopper Magazine. The link to that is also at the bottom of each forum page.

Have fun. smiling smiley

b I do not understand why you have these mental issues such as the one you have with upper case letters. I tried to type the I in lower case so it would not disturb you but I couldn't figure out how to make that work. do you know how? we should be able to type in lower case if we want to. it is not fair to have our posts mishandled in this manner and I want someone to do something about it. please let me know where to complain about this. and do you know how to type the I in lower case?

MDN, i find it very easy to type a lower case i. i'm not sure why you're having such a problem with it?

when I type an I it goes to upper case. how do I type a lower case I? and why do you not have a problem with it. I'm going to google it. google will tell me everything. or anything.

HA! You have to type a letter after it and then after you're done typing the whole thing removed the superfluous letters.

I messed around with it some and I got a lower case I but it had a red thingie under it. This technology is too much for me. But tell me this, why does the computer think I always want I to be upper case, or lower case with a red thingie? How about lower case without a red thingie? How do I get that? And who's in charge here anyway? Where's Alexander Haig when I need him?

Okay then now that you have me totally screwed up, how do I get rid of the red thingie under the lower case i?

Stand up, turn around three times, sit back down and hit the Reply button. Voila, the red thingie will be gone.

The red thingie is just telling you that you've misspelled a word. Which is odd. I don't know why it thinks i is misspelled but I isn't???

Oh thank you Lisa. You're a lifesaver.

Apparently she's a married lifesaver. I want to make it publicly known that I had NO IDEA she was married!

Me either. It never crossed my mind she was married. She ought to be ashamed she didn't tell you. I can understand you had no idea. She really comes across as an independent woman. Just goes to shows, or shows to go. Whatever.

Hello,

I am looking for all companies that service the Atlanta area. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I am not sure about being paid through paypal!! Is it easier or something?

ALL POSITIVE AND TOPIC RELATED COMMENTS WELCOMED!!

Thanks so much!!
Finding shops is like mining for diamonds. It's hard work but it's an investment in your business.

Most shoppers spend a lot of time applying with companies and researching what is available in their areas, so each mystery shopper's list of clients represents a lot of work and is very valuable. Those who are mystery shoppers in Atlanta probably have the best idea which companies offer Atlanta shops, but they may be reluctant to share their list of clients with a competitor. Jobslinger can help you identify companies in your area.

There appears to be a lot of competition for jobs in Atlanta, but many companies do offer shops there. Which companies have you found with shops in Atlanta? Which are your favorites? Which companies are providing the most opportunities to you?

Sign up with plenty of companies and you will find more shops. Many posters here are signed up with 150 or more.
You open a PayPal account. Many companies deposit your payment to it the same way direct deposit works. It's quick and easy. I encouage you to open a PayPal account. It's free.
Cool. I was wondering if the payment went to your PayPal account balance or the card on file with paypal.

Your awesome for your responses.

Thanks so much. I will be registered with a lot more companies now!!
Aha! Territorial, are we? Yes, I guess. Okay, sorry, moving along now.

My payments go to the paypal account and the balance builds up there. I can spend that money by using a paypal debit card or I can transfer it to my regular checking account.

I also got the paypal debit card so I didn't have to wait to get the money. You could also try jobslinger which will show you a couple of companies that shop in your area but it is by no means a comprehensive list. As mentioned above, the shoppers who shop your area are probably not going to want more competition so they probably won't be interested in telling you who shops there. What most of us do is sign up with every single company we can until we find them. There's a list at the bottom of this page with a whole bunch of companies.
Edited because the mods combined the duplicate threads. Thanks mods!
