Hi All! I have been checking out this forum occasionally and have finally joined! I am a long time Mystery Shopper..(it was a different world when I started..pre-internet) so thought I would say Hi
Welcome. I sure would like to pick your brain. I look forward to some wisdom from you for us newbies. Eight years in and still kicking. Fighting tooth and nail for more shops in my area.
So glad you posted. My question is pretty much the same as everyone else, what can you share to help prepare us to be better mystery shoppers and earn more money?
Thank you for all the greetings! So much has changed with Mystery Shopping since I started. Back in "the day" we would call in to get assignments.. Most companies assigned you a day and time frame to call. Then the shops were typed on a good old typewriter and faxed (sometimes mailed) in. I find it much easier now but I find it harder to get work now as I cant always respond right away when something is posted and I feel "back then" we had better relationships with our schedulers as we talked with them as opposed to emailing and it seems (to me at least) the schedulers and editors were more professional..worked out of offices..I know that is not a criteria for being professional but somehow I feel they are more vested if they are somewhere working as opposed to someone who may only want to be a scheduler/editor so they can work from home..I really hope that makes some sort of sense!
