Hi! Im new to MS!!

Hello everyone!

My name is Ashley and I am VERY new to mystery shopping. While looking for work at home jobs months ago, I stumbled upon mystery shopping, but I didn't really pay attention to it because I was looking for online work. But somehow, I made my way back around to it. I am a full time student that works part time and looking for some much needed extra income. Even if it is low pay, $5 per shop is a lot to a college student. Every dime helps!smiling smiley

I started signing up for companies yesterday. After researching MS all day, I found this forum as well as a few helpful websites and signed up for Market Force, Service International, Corporate Research International, Shoppers Confidential (looks like this company does not get too many shops. There were NONE in Michigan and the only available ones were scattered throughout the US) and I plan to sign up for BARE International and any others I find today. I cant remember where but I saw on this forum that the first 3 I listed were great for beginners.

I have 3 questions, 1) Am I on the right track??? 2) Could anyone direct me to anymore companies that are great for beginners and have a good amount of shops everywhere? 3) As I said before I am currently working part time so I actually have the time to do shops at least until May. After that, I plan to work full time as well as go to school so it may be hard for me to complete shops. Will companies terminate me if I go months without apply for any shops?

Nice to meet you guys!

Welcome! You are on the right track. Most companies will not terminate you for not applying for several months. however, some may put you into inactive status, where you may have to email them to get reactivated.

Welcome! You could try jobslinger and do a search. See what companies have jobs in your area then sign up with them. Also you can use their Recruitinator to find more Sassie shops.

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.

I noticed Sassie has some really good ones! I think I booked two that were Sassie shops today. I will check out jobslinger. Thanks!
Ashley, if you click on the blue link to mystery shopping companies at the bottom of the page, you'll find a list of the fifteen most discussed companies. Sign up with those first.

Welcome! Do you live in Michigan? I am near Grand Rapids and am signed up with about 15 different companies. Job Slinger was a great resource for me!

Yes! Im in Detroit. Jobslinger is exactly what I needed! Those jobs are awesome. All the Sassie companies always have something in my area.
ashnicb, I live in NH, but I shop in MI when visiting family. I just shopped there this past week. Keep signing up; there is plenty available in the area. I could have spent all of my very short three day vacation shopping if I had wanted to do so.
