Hey, guys. I've lurked this board for some time now, but I think it's finally time I became a member myself. I've been doing mystery shopping for a few years now in the Bay Area.
Previously I've done things pretty much exclusively with MarketForce, though recently they removed me from their system with an answer that basically boiled down to "you've been a very good shopper and we can't explain why we terminated you but sometimes our algorithms want to terminate people." Go figure.

So far I've signed up with a few others, such as IntelliShop, but really I just want to do food-based shops and am having a rough time finding ones that are just that.

Anyway, it's good to meet everybody, and you can expect me to lurk around a bunch, ask obvious questions, and generally try to help people out when I can.

Welcome Jorep! We look forward to getting to know you. So sorry about Market Force but you will find they routinely do that. I think most people who shop for Market Force know that eventually their time will come too. So silly isn't it? Why let a good shopper go, makes bad business sense.

Yeah, I'm not too shook up about the whole thing.
So far for food my best lead has been Confero, with whom I've just signed up - so we'll see where that rabbit hole ends up leading.

Confero is a great company to work with! The only negative for me was that I had a pay issue once that took over a month to correct, but I think that was just an issue of it not getting to the right person from the scheduler's side. All in all, you will have a good time with them!

Food based clientele is something that a few companies specialize in. However, many more have such clients, like Market Force, among a wider selection of shops. Try signing up for some of the larger ones (hint - top 15 discussed MSPs) or consider Coyle and Ardent if you enjoy longer narratives.
