Can anybody tell me if they have made any good money at this. I joined a mystery shopper program once before and the two companies were scams. I would enjoy spending sometime with a firm that is legal.
What do you consider "good money?" For the answer from many of us will vary, and might not be the yes/no answer you expect...It is not so cut and dried.

Many shoppers on this forum have posted the amount they earn, ranging from less than a hundred per month, to a thousand and up. It depends on how much time you can dedicate to shopping, the quality of your work, and the area where you live. We have a list of legitimate companies here.
How can I find a list of the ligit companies? I don't want to get steered in the wrong direction.

Very few mystery shops are done online. Mostly you will be working with various companies visiting client locations as a 'normal shopper' to make your observations and submit your reports and proofs of visit.
If you're in it for the money, you might be very disappointed.

I'm in it for the love of the game.

Interesting. I am in it for both. Even though the pay is low, there's just something about the process . . .
