Just today, I applied for a cell phone shop and was told that I did not qualify because I was over the age of 50. I am 52. I wanted to kick somebody!

Stilllearning, those of us under 60 are doing them too. I never paid attention as I am in my forties. A MSC contacted me and gave me two acceptable scenarios I could use at my age so I will be doing a few.
I am 71 and have more shop opportunities than I care to accept. I do at least 50 to 60 shops a month, play golf once a week, and have plenty of free time for family and friends.
timing2000 welcome. I am retired and Mystery Shop. It is a great way to supplement retirement income. Once you get established with different companies you will develop your own unique interests. You have good advice from long time shoppers. I echo what they have advised, sign up with a lot of companies. Also check out the new shoppers threads you will find great information there. Welcome and good wishes on new your new venture.
