New, but not, from Chicagoland

Hey all!

I first started mystery shopping when I lived in WI to help put myself through school almost 10 years ago. I then moved to IA and stopped shopping for almost 4 years because there wasn't much to choose from and a lot of competition. I moved to the Chicagoland area in May and have started shopping extensively again. I love the freedom it provides. I have really dived into it full force and do over 50 shops each month, so I thought it might help to get thoughts from others from time to time, etc.

Glad to be back at it!

Happily shopping Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut
Hi Karin, the forum has thoughts, lots and lots of thoughts. Since you are not a rookie, you have an idea of what shops are out there, and what is required. You know it is necessary to sign up with as many MSCs as you can find. Exchanging experiences here can be fun, helpful to others, and it's probable that you'll learn something new, or teach something new to another. Welcome!
Hi Karin. I am in the Chicagoland area as well. Do you shop in Downtown Chicago? I have avoided downtown until now since I am nervous about parking and traffic. I was looking for someone with experience shopping downtown.
arcadia,

I have experience with some restaurant and entertainment venues, but otherwise have avoided downtown shopping as well. Those locations normally reimburse for parking and/or have had valet service. I would love to know someone else's experiences on downtown shops. Let me know how yours start going. smiling smiley

Karin
Hello and I was wondering how I can make this a part-time effort, because I really enjoy the flexibility mystery shopping has provided and I just graduated from college but I see this as a way to earn some money while I am looking for full-time employment. Can you please give me some suggestions.
Thanks, Simona
