Some quotes from their site:
"Our job search tool will assist you in finding postings that are near to where you live and match your preferences." - this information is offered by Jobslinger.com for free
". . .Shopper Services incurs advertising costs and administration costs finding new secret shopper recruits. Your one-time membership dues and tuition help cover some of these costs, while your long term participation in the program ensures the ongoing success for everyone." -- They are not providing jobs, nor are they schedulers for jobs.
"Once you have completed your training program and training assignments you will be given the opportunity to add yourself to dozens of places online that offer ongoing secret shopping opportunities." -- you can sign up with dozens of places on line that offer ongoing secret shopper opportunities for free and without paying anyone a cent for "training".
Luckily you are out only $2
One last quote from their site:
"A: Shopper Services will provide you with training and work experience so when you apply with secret shopping companies you will be able to say you are an experienced shopper. We also have an active database of over 300 secret shopping companies covering the entire United States. By applying with the companies using our resume wizard you are sure to have job offers within days of completing the program."--this has me concerned because they are having you represent yourself as "an experienced shopper" when you have not done a single real world shop. And note that they are not promising you work but indicating that you will have job offers. With most mystery shopping companies, when you sign up you get email notification when they put jobs on their boards. That would constitute an "offer", though unless you act quickly it will be gone from their website if it was a decent job.
