When do new shops "hit"?

I have been shopping since last December and I am constantly running into the scenario where I miss out on shops because another shopper beat me to it. We have a TON of mystery shopping opportunities here in the Phoenix area and I just want to find out the best way to get on top of these.

So my question is, do you know of any companies with specific times of the month or week that they update their job boards with new shops? If so, are there times of the day?

I recently heard that a few companies would update their job boards on the first of every month but I have no idea which comapnies that is.

Maybe we could start a list like you guys did for the Best Companies & Best Paying?

That comes a little close to asking GM to share their customer list with Ford. We all do our best to figure out when shops post so that we indeed can be there to pick them up rather than go away empty handed. The way to figure it out is to check the job boards of the companies you work with and over a period of time develop a feel for it. With the Prophet companies it is easy because you can see what has been taken and know you were late to the party. So if you look today and see all of the September jobs are grayed out, you know they obviously posted before the first of the month. Mark your calendar to check them on the 25th-end of month for next month. If you still missed it, mark your calendar to check the 20th-25th for the following month. Some companies will help you out and tell you when they will post, but those are few. Some companies are really haphazard it would seem about when they post ("I put them up when they are ready."

Some MSC's post them weekly and others when they get them and some only monthly. Just keep checking the job boards thats about all you can do.

The best way to go about getting MS work is to check early and check often. You never know when new jobs are going to pop up, but the early part of the month does tend to have the most fruit on the vine.

The trouble with some of the job boards is that they are not always up-to-the-minute with their posts.

www.msjobboard.com does update every 5 minutes, so you know if you see a shop on the board, you are likely to get your application in early enough that you will have a fighting chance.
