Don't know anything about "Shopper Services." What is their URL? I'm not sure they're legit, so I can't say what your next step is, except don't pay them anything. What was this certification and what does it do for you? The only certification I'm familiar with is the one offered by the MSPA.(http://www.mysteryshop.org/)
I can't find this company on the 3 lists of MSPs that I have, and I'm concerned that you're getting taken for a ride.

It was just $2.00 to get started They gave me some online training and a promise of work when I finish their requirements which are completed as of today. We will see what happens on Monday. I am sorry, but what is the MSP? I am really brand new...

That was not the MSPA Silver or Gold certification that is requested when you sign up with new companies. The MSPA Silver is $15 and Gold around $100. Did you buy yours at Shadow Shopper? It is good only with them. Nobody else recognizes it.
Please post the website here and you'll get lots of good advice. Sorry, msp = mystery shopping provider. MSPA = the msp association that many companies belong to.

I just went on Jobslinger and I was lead to a company that let me sign up. This is fun! They don't have any jobs available yet,but I'm learning fast. I'll cancel Shoppers Services tomorrow. Thanks so much for your help. I'll let you know when and how my first paid shop goes...

With jobslinger, you'll find that the shops are often already taken. What company did you register with?

I'm now sign up with Marketforce and Retail Eyes. I tried to sign up with Kern but it would not except my ss number. It kept telling me to re-enter. I did but it would not go forward. Hum...Thank you for all your help. I know I will be asking you many more questions.

When you sign up with Bestmark, you won't be able to access their job board until you've done your first shop with them. They'll email you when jobs are available. I ended up losing $$ on my first shop cuz I took a coffee shop in Chino just so I could finally get my login info.

Some sites require all digits, others want hyphens between the groups of numbers.

Great!!!!!I'm sure you did just fine. What MSP was it for? (You can name the msp, but don't name the client)

Hello new friends. Have had lots of family drama and trying to plan husband's 70th birthday party with garden theme and have not been on line much. Its time for me to get started as my husband's job is on the line and I need to help out.
Was told to read all nuts and bolts, come back and ask questions. Using Firefox for safety, had created an extra AT & T email address and printed out helpful tips from Jan Jacobs??? re having a credit card, 3 in one printer/fax/copier -- good advise.
But my main question to you all is: are you having any success with the online-survey offers???? for Instance: Carol Adams???? Must I put down my actual birthdate to be paid? Thinking birthday can be traced to social security theft etc., or is it just to prove you are over 18?
Next question: One survey asked me to buy 1 or 2 products on line and either pay s&h postage or some discount on product. Survey would pay $100.00. I'm the newbie with Fibromyalgia and saw some loving responses from a few of you. Forgot your user names. Bfriend in California

Don't do any surveys that require you to buy products.......there are lots of legit survey sites that pay you money for surveys or give you points that you can redeem for giftcards, etc.

Ok, now trying to file away these great tips coming in for future reference, like the links bugspost sent me. Don't wish to print out and waste printer ink on each and every great post.
In personal email addressess I have created folders, for friends/family/ for banking, etc.,but is there a way to pop some of your great forum replies into a forum folder? What do you guys do to "save" some great chat ideas. Still hooked on your happy signature graphics. Like bugspost and Joan with the flower. How do you create?

Cristi--remove your email address. You're leaving yourself open to spammers who harvest addresses from forums.

Copy and paste them into a Word document, saving each time. I keep a lot of documents in my computers just for reference, without ever printing them. I copy and paste from all over the internet, and have the info categorized into various folders.
