new and nervous.

I am actually more on the line of very interested rather than new. I have not decided if this is something i want to get involved with or not. I am raising my 3yrs old granddaughter and I work in the lunchroom at a school. In the summer I have a few months to do alittle extra. In the past I have been badly burned with gimmicks and I seem to trust to easily. I really don't want to get burned again. How could I get started with the safest (and sadly, easiest to understand) plan? If thats not to much to ask.

I'm still learning 24/7.
Welcome, and I encourage you to start slowly. Register with a couple good companies (Customer Impact, Tell us about us) are a couple I recommend. The latter does family restaurants, you can take the kids. Signing with good solid companies, there is nothing to lose. Read the information here, and good luck!

Live consciously....
Also below the area where you can abner questions is a link. It's called Offical List of Mystery Shopping Companies pick and choose from this list it will also tell you if these companies have had a lot of discusion on these boards. Good Luck abd Happy Shopping.
Welcome Daderholt,
The first thing I tell my shoppers is that you should NEVER have to pay to become a msytery shopper! Second thing I tell them is that if you are mailed a cashier's check, traveler's check, money order, or company/personal check run as fast as you can from these people. It is usually a scam. Unfortunately my name, title and business name have been attached to one of there emails. Thankfully the shopper called me first before doing the shop. So if in doubt, always check it out. I'm not sure if we have anything in your area at the moment but if you would like to drop a line I would be more than happy to check. We usually post shops on the MSPA Board and the job board on this site. Good luck!
