What about "fees"?

ShadowShopper charges a fee to upgrade from a Bronze Shopper to Gold Shopper. Sounds like I can't get a job unless I'm "gold." Anyone working for them?

ShadowShopper is only a referral service, they offer no jobs themselves. Payment to a referral service is wasting your money and nobody that I ever heard of recognizes their 'certifications'.
You can certainly work without Gold, most of us do....register with the MSC themselves. I started with Shadow Shoppers, they sent me jobs in my area, and I went from there registering with those companies then finding my way.

I looked on the BBB about ShadowShoppers and they had a F Rating. Now maybe they might have been scamed at on point in time when those scam checks were being sent out to those poor individuals and they used there name. Let me know about your feedback on them now. Trying to register with as many companies as I can. Thanks!!
But ShadowShoppers is only a referral service. They have no shops of their own. The complaints to BBB are most likely because ShadowShoppers offers a limited time trial offer. If you don't cancel the trial offer in plenty of time your credit card will be charged around $100 for a "membership". That is a non-refundable charge. Part of the issue is that a '30 day' free trial membership should NOT be cancelled on day 30 or thereafter. You need to be proactive and get it cancelled as well as some kind of acknowledgement of the cancellation by day 25. I have never signed up with them because they themselves have no work at all.
Once upon a time, as I recall, Shadow Shoppers used to be "free".

Now - I get all kinds of emails wanting me to join - what gives??
In all the years I have been shopping there has always been a "free" introductory month. The issues always arise when you try to shut down and cancel service. Their notion of a month is evidently less than 30 days, so in order to avoid having your credit card charged you must cancel well in advance of your full 30 days or see about a $100 non-refundable charge on your credit card.
A good thing to do, if so inclined, is to used a prepaid card. Read the stipulations, but generally, no future charges can attach.
I also started on Shadow Shoppers when it was more of a service to shoppers, think they used to get a kick back from the companies. Try the free one month and then cancel, it's a great way to start. I learned so much doing jobs they sent me in my area, without wasting time wondering who are good companies and who aren't. I can't say anything bad about them, they served a purpose for me, and then I moved on.

Live consciously....
I also started on Shadow Shoppers and had no problems. I have nothing bad to say about them either.
