Social Pending

Hello, I have a shop scheduled for today but I just realized my SSN is still pending. If I do the job will I still get payed once that is verified?

I am a little concerned about this as well. I emailed asking a few of the companies and have not heard anything back. No offense to BCM2016 but can anyone else confirm it is safe to do these shops.

How long has the SS# been pending? The time frame we are talking about would affect the answer I give. Also, the company the SS# is pending with would affect my answer. For elin14, it sounds like it was only one conpany and I'm guessing she did the shop. For 87Supra, it sounds like numerous companies. Are we talking days, weeks? Did you just register with these companies? Did you register over the last 3 weeks, when staffing is down due to the holidays?

It's easy to say "go ahead - don't worry about it," but you haven't provided enough information for me to feel comfortable giving you that assurance.

I registered through the IRS website for an EIN/FEIN. I use that on most new companies applications and it seems to go through quickly, even instantly. I would send them a quick email or even consider giving them a call to check up.

It took about a week, but my social was verified. It was for IntelliShop btw. The pay day for them is after the 20th of the month so I haven't been paid just yet, but I'll update when I do.
Also, I did an online shop for Bestmark and got a check in the mail within a week. Just thought I'd share.

I started on 1-2 so yes the holidays could indeed have affected things. I am trying to get going on stuff. Since I can get a credit report in minutes via machine, I guess I assumed they could verify my SS# fast as well. Sounds like it just takes some time. My main concern was completing a shop correctly, submitting, and then being told "thanks but you were not verified then, no pay for you". I am old, maybe I am just a cynic.

Unless you gave an incorrect SS# you will be paid.
