I admit it, I got greedy

This is my 3rd full week shopping and I feel like I've been doing really well....

But this week I got a little over ambitious. Or greedy. Or desperate. Or a bit of everything.

I took on 5 apartment shops in 3 days, three of which are within 15 mins of my house but 2 were 80 miles away. I know everyone will want to discourage me from traveling so far for so little...but I really am trying to think long term with this MSC.

All five shops are with a certain company who (ahem) are well known for having really long and repetitive reports.

So, I'm whipped right now. Emotionally and physically.

Cheers!

Take a break before you burn out. winking smiley Physically is understandable. But when emotions come into it and you feel whipped, time to take a break.
Bake some cookies and take a break from apartment shops for a while. They do take a lot ot energy and time. Get some movie shops and relax. lol
Admittedly, "emotion" was the wrong term. I meant that I'm drained physically and psychologically - because of all the report writing and running around.

But I agree...making cookies sounds like a great idea this weekend!

Sounds like you may need to put yourself on a schedule. When I began burning out, I changed my routine. Now, I only shop on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. I plan 4 - 8 jobs per week, just enough to make $100+ per week. If I can do the $100 on Tuesday only, I'm done for the week. If it takes Tuesday and Thursday, I'm done for the week. Get the idea? By allowing myself days off, I found that I don't burn out. Take a deep breath and remember you are the one that schedules yourself. Don't bite off more than you can chew!
You can also schedule some really easy shops that don't require alot of narratives to bunch up but that comes with experience. I work the night shift at my regular job but usually schedule a couple of shops during the day because I also need the time to do the reports before preparing myself for my regular job. On my two days off, I schedule up to five shops, spreading out the time to do the reports. Some reports require a 12 hour turn around or 24 hours turn around. I write down the turn around time on my handwritten notes for the requirements/the key points for the shop so I can float the time for the reports. That way, I don't have to burden myself to get the reports done asap.
I just started MS'ing in February and noticed a burnout earlier this month. So now, I have to have 2 separate days (like Wednesday and Sunday) of no MS'ing.. Also, I work a FT job during the day, so I also have instituted a 2-3 shops per work day rule. This way, I can do a lunch time food shop and two others after work, but no more than that. I like the idea of making a certain amount per week and then stopping.
