Pricing Audits

I just signed up for a companythat does pricing audits and I'm wondering what people think of them that have done pricing audits. They want you to remain undercover but at the same time record the prices of 250 items. Reading those guidelines it sounds almost impossible to me how you could stay undercover. Anyone who does these care to share your experience with that? Also I'd still like to know if anyone knows of companies other than GFK or Marketforce that do announced audits....I asked this in a separate thread but no one is answering it and I see this forum is very active so I don't know if I struck a chord with that question or something but if anyone knows I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

Announced audits are so hit and miss that there isn't really any one company that could be said to have them regularly. The last one I did was for the app Fieldagent.
I was offered the $250 two to three day secret audit. I declined. As it was in an area with high shoplifting problems, I figured the likelihood of not getting caught getting prices was zero. I have seen a person collecting prices without permission escorted out of a grocery. I don't know the whole story, if it was a secret audit, or a data collection mission. Either way she was trying to be discreet while she used her phone, but she was still caught, questioned right in the aisle, and, not too politely marched out. I was doing a small coupon job down the aisle from her and felt really bad for her. Sometimes companies don't have a clue how difficult some of the assignments are to accomplish undercover.
Good luck to you.
Actually I responded on your other thread. When it comes to the forum you should keep in mind we are all mystery shoppers and independent contractors. We come here to read, help others and/or be entertained. There is no group of people whose only job is to monitor and respond to questions.

I know and I appreciate the responses. It was just that I had seen multiple other newer threads then mine getting responses and I was like what the heck lol
Not everyone reads everything either. The subject line might not have held any appeal or nobody had come along who knew the answer to your question. Some times a more descriptive subject line helps too. Depending on how busy I am and how many new threads there are, I often just open a few and mark the rest as read.
