I gave myself a raise

Part of being a newbie is keeping track of everything- I've been keeping jobs on a spreadsheet and marking when I am getting paid. I got my first payment from one MSC today and it was about half what I thought it was supposed to be, according to my spreadsheet. Checked the original emails I saved about the job and yep, they were correct! I gave myself a raise without getting it approved by them apparently! LOL!

Oh well, money is money and it is good to start getting paid. grinning smiley

Thanks! I got paid once before by Trendsource. I got another payday from them today too, along with this other one. I don't love the Trendsource gigs because they are kind of tedious but I do like the fast payday!
You will sort out over time what companies you like to work with, which ones you are willing to work with and which ones just aren't worth the bother. You don't terminate with those that aren't worth the bother because another time they may have a client that is really worthwhile for you. And how fast a company pays becomes less of an issue as you get a stream of payments coming through.

Yeah, I figured. I did get pretty good pay on one from Trendsource because they offered PAD and I was going to be in the area anyway. And I have decided I will just ask for PAD and if they don't give it, I am not doing that shop. They do have quite a few grocery stores within 5 miles of me so it's not totally useless. I still need groceries. grinning smiley

The payment streaming in is not a huge issue because I have a full time day job and I am just using mystery shopping to build a little cushion and do fun things like going out to eat on someone else's dime. But I have had to pace myself on how many dining shops I can pick up haha.
Big issue or not, it keeps one in the game to have those payments moving along into the bank.

Definitely and I want to make sure I get what I am owed. grinning smiley
I have been shopping for three months, and I have to say that it is not hard to accept a shop, and then realize it was not as profitable as you thought it would be. I did my first grocery shop the other day, and I wish they were closer.
