Rhode Islander wondering about amount of jobs

I am returning to mystery shopping after a several year hiatus due to moves with the military. Wondering if it is worth signing up with companies only to find out that there are too few jobs. Any suggestions for specific companies that focus on the Northeast? Also, is it allowable to discuss which companies cover which restaurants?

Many of the companies you worked with before likely still have you in their database so updating address, phone and other information would probably be all that is needed to reactivate. There are many companies that offer restaurant shops and there is no prohibition from discussing them, only you can't link the client to the company that shops them by both forum rules and ICAs. I don't live in your area so certainly couldn't direct you to specific companies, but my assumption is that there are plenty of restaurants in your area you could shop. You are also more likely to find companies that have shops in your area if you live in the Northeast. There is the forum's "Official List of Mystery Shopping Companies" at the bottom of each page of the forum so best recommendation is just to start registering with companies and updating ones you worked with before.
I am a RI shopper. I often work for Marketforce, Intellishop, Ath, Beyond Hello, Alta360, Confrero, Dataquest, A Closer Look, Coyle, Bare International, BestMark. I am signed up with many others but sometimes the shops are limited. I would update old accounts as another suggested and start with the MSPA list of companies and go down the list signing up. I keep all accounts in a favorites folder and organize it by who has the most work. It can change often so this keeps all my accounts accessible.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. It gives me encouragement that it is worth my time to create profiles in the companies you mentioned, as well as updating my old profiles.
You are welcome. Also, Amusement Advantage is great if you want to get reimbursements for things like six flags, bowling, aquarium visits, and whale watches in Boston. lots of shops too. I forgot about that one.

jessi9260 is right on with her suggestions. From one source Jobslinger (the free version) or Prestomobile.com will give you the best idea of what is in the area. They use essentially the same data.

Welcome back and good luck.
