About to do my first fast food shop this weekend and have a random question.
Am I going to be asked the names of the people in the drive thru?
And if so, how do you get their names in the split second your in contact with them?
Read your shop guidelines and look at the report form before you go to see if you will be required to give names. Depending on both the mystery shopping company AND the client, the answer could be yes and it could be no. Some clients do not care which individual serves you; for example, for their drive-thru, Market Force asks the key station of the cash register.. Another MF drive-thru shop requires a description but no name (good thing, because the staff do not wear name tags and the cashier's name is not shown on the receipt). Others want a name. Most drive-thru personnel wear name tags and I usually have no difficulty reading their tag although sometimes they are wearing a sweater or their long hair obscures the name .... or, my personal favorite, they clip their receiver for either a phone or the drive-thru speaker over their name tag, making it unreadable. Often the cashier's name is on the receipt. Sometimes a name is impossible and you just have to provide a description.
