I just got my first assignment from a New Grounds. Has anyone hear of it. ?They sent me a large check and my job is to transfer 2 amount to someone else using 2 different money transfer systems. Is it common to receive payment like this. I undecided to the point that I'm afraid that it might be a scam. I dont want to go to the bank to deposit the check, and go to jail...lol

Please school me, This is very overwhelming right now.

RUN FAST!!! It's a complete scam. I have never heard of that company but no legitimate mystery shopping companies send you a check first. This is a very common scam. Most companies pay around $15.00 for an assignment and then you can wait up to 3 months to be paid.

However, this forum is not a scam. It is a wonderful place to learn about mystery shopping - how to avoid the scams and get your feet wet with legitimate companies.

Don't cash that check - turn it over to your local police. If you are seriously interested in mystery shopping, have a look around the forum.
